I am having an awful time getting a diagnosis, partly because I already have so much other "stuff", most of which is also autoimmune, so why this should come as a surprise, I don't know. I really thought I had "enough" (Sheehan's syndrome, Addison's disease, immune deficiency, celiac, etc., etc.). But I have had fevers, chills, I CAN'T BREATHE, even though they tell me that yes, I can (?) and I am sometimes so tired I can't do anything at all, have had sinusitis, my lungs have "lit up" on a nuclear tagged WBC scan (but not much else has revealed anything), I use Advair and Albuterol to breathe and then cough for up to two hours and it HURTS. My eyes hurt...does any of this sound familiar to you guys? I have also had joint pain/bursitis, sinusitis so bad my teeth hurt, and I have clubbed fingers that they told me was "old age" (apparently I have had a sudden attack of old age). The first pulmonologist I went to, no kidding, looked at everything except my lungs and then told me I just needed a MASSAGE. When I take additional prednisone (I have steroids for my Addison's), which I have to do in order to keep the additional stress from illness from crashing my cortisol, the breathing improves...
I am currently taking extra prednisone, Darvocet every 4 hrs for pain, and using Advair and Albuterol on top of all my other meds just to hang on until my next (different) pulmonologist appt next Thursday.
Does this sound familiar to anybody or am I 'barking up the wrong tree'? I feel like I have to find some answers on my own as I have been to the doctor more than 10 times with no answers so far.
