Was recently diagnosed with DVT (both legs) and Bi-Lateral PE (blood clots in both lungs). Asked Dr. if any chance WG caused this, as I have been off BC and anything that would attribute to clots for 2+ months, more active than usual, etc. He informed me that WG can "thicken the blood", making some patients very susceptible to blood clots. Was put on Heparnin/Coumadin while hospitalized; now on just Coumadin. A day after being released for the clots, I had an unstoppable nosebleed requiring an ambulance, ER, and 4 day long hospital stay (a posterior nosebleed out of the blue...BP was fine, hadn't blown nose recently, etc.)Dr's suspect WG involvement but are hesitant to do another CT of the sinuses as I have been exposed to a horrific amount of radiation in the past couple months. Anyone else have experience with clots/nosebleeds due to WG?...
